Today I wanted  to share a few pieces of artwork that are dear to me.

This first piece is no stranger to my blog. This was the painting my husband has commissioned for our engagement..... I consider this one of the greatest gifts ever given to me and I treasure it :) I just recently bought an easel to set it on, rather than hang it on the wall. I like it better this way. This Painting was done by the amazing Anna Rose Bain. I love her work and I would definitely LOVE to have her paint another portrait in the future!

The next piece is very special to both of us...This batik was a gift from our Aunt and Uncle in Sri Lanka. They brought it to us for our wedding. I am so very happy they were able to make it. I absolutely love this piece for the excellent lines, details, and of course, the sentiment :)

I currently have it hanging in my dining room.

I just love the beautiful colors and exquisite detail. I am hoping to meet this artist when we visit Sri Lanka (hopefully this year!)

I am looking forward to the weekend....how about you?! Tonight my husband and I with a few friends are going to enjoy this wonderful weather and probably find a place to eat over on 7th Street. We love it down there! My mom and I are probably going to have a girls day tomorrow, and of course we will be at church on Sunday, so we are looking forward to a great weekend!
