About Stephen and Brittany

PhotobucketAbout this Blog
This blog was started in June of 2008 as a way to keep friends and family up to date on my daily/weekly/monthly shenanigans. At that time, I was a freshly graduated unmarried girl. I have since gotten engaged, married, learned new things, started working from home and found a love for home decor and fashion. I have also cultivated my passion for cooking and drastically changed the way I eat. I have also found that I have quite a nack for thrifting and the patience and skill for refinishing and reupholstering furniture. That being said, this blog has hosted quite an array of rants and raves. Not exactly consistent, either. From 29 posts in 2009 down to 3 posts in 2010, and 2 of those were in December!

The arrival of 2011 has brought a fresh wind of inspiration. Because of many experiences and much encouragement from others, I am going to pull the mind of this blog together to create a place for inspiration to flourish. I have found that simply documenting thoughts and experiences helps me not only to look back on my experiences with fondness, but it also to propels me to become better at everything I do.

About Brittany
I am a native Texan, having grown up all over the Fort Worth area. My husband Stephen was born and raised in Germany. His family moved to the US in 1996. We currently reside in Downtown Fort Worth. Stephen is a General Contractor and Real Estate Investor, and I work in the home office. I am learning the business as well as accounting. My husband is an incredibly talented singer and songwriter and the Music Director/Worship Pastor in our local church.

We first met in 2001 after I started attending our church. Our friendship turned into interest not until 5 or 6 years later. Stephen purchased our home in December of 2007, right about the time we started dating. We spent the next 8 month getting to know each other better, and became engaged on August 23, 2008.  Our wedding day was February 21, 2009. To see photos of our wedding, click here.
