About Us

About this Blog
This blog was started in June of 2008 as a way to keep friends and family up to date on my daily/weekly/monthly shenanigans. At that time, I was a freshly graduated unmarried girl. I have since gotten engaged, married, learned new things, and started working from home. I've also met some amazing people along the way and cultivated new relationships. A few things you can expect to find on this blog are: how I cultivate my passion for cooking and a healthy lifestyle, making a home, fashion and style, the culture and happenings in and around our city, occasional "thrifting" fun, our friends and family, traveling,  and just simply doing life together! Beauty is all around, in everything, if you choose to see it!

The purpose of this blog to create a place for inspiration to flourish. I have found that simply documenting thoughts and experiences helps me not only to look back on my experiences with fondness, but it also to propels me to become better at everything I do.

About Us
Brittany is a native Texan, having grown up all over the Fort Worth area. Stephen was born and raised in Germany. His family moved to the US in 1996. We currently reside in Downtown Fort Worth, and own a window covering business together, Trinity Uptown Window Coverings. Stephen is a talented singer and songwriter and the Music Director/Worship Pastor in our local church.

We first met in 2001 after I started attending our church. Our friendship turned into interest not until 5 or 6 years later. Stephen purchased our home in December of 2007, right about the time we started dating. We spent the next 8 month getting to know each other better, and became engaged on August 23, 2008.  Our wedding day was February 21, 2009. To see photos of our wedding, click here.

Dear Brittany
I've just found your blog, and I love it! I wish you wrote on it more often ;-)
At first I thought you guys might be apostolic, but then I noticed that you company was called something with trinity. May I ask which denomination you belong to? I don't see it on the blog.
You wrote that your husband used to live in Germany. Does he speak German still? Have you guys ever travelled there?
